Study Applied Sciences New Zealand Universal College of Learning (UCOL) - Palmerston North

The Universal College of Learning (UCOL) was founded in Palmerston North in1906. Today, UCOL is an award winning institute of technology and polytechnic with three campuses – Palmerston North, Whanganui and Masterton – all in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand. UCOL also offers many study programmes entirely online.

The main campus is situated in the centre of Palmerston North (population 80,000) approximately 140 km north of New Zealand’s capital city Wellington.

Palmerston North is well known for its sport and outdoor recreation choices within or in close proximity to the city that is home to the Rugby Academy at Massy University, and the New Zealand Rugby Museum. Popular outdoor pursuits are white water rafting and kayaking on the Manawatu and Rangitikei Rivers, and tramping and skiing or snowboarding in Tongariro National Park, which is only 160 km away.
